NYC DEPT. OF DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION ‘RED HOOK COASTAL RESILIENCY’  II | CG SUPERVISOR/CO-PRINCIPAL 3D ARTIST

PREVIEW FRAMES OF BEARD STREET ANIMATION. ANIMATIONS WILL BE POSTED SOON.

2023 | Red Hook, Brooklyn is the lowest lying, most flood prone neighborhood in New York City. As ocean levels rise and storms become more prevalent, NYC is investing $100 million in flood prevention.

Working in conjunction with Helen Han of Helen Han Creative and part-time 3D artist Lisa Marie Erickson, we realized 2 drone like fly through shots totaling over 90 seconds of 3D animation. The shots, further developing on work from the first phase of the project in 2021, recreates over a dozen blocks in detail of the neighborhood centering on Beard and Reed streets, showcasing the flood prevention and new landscaping proposed by engineers and landscape architects.
