NYC DEPT. OF DESIGN & CONSTRUCTION ‘RED HOOK COASTAL RESILIENCY’  I | CG SUPERVISOR/CO-PRINCIPAL 3D ARTIST

2021 | Red Hook, Brooklyn is the lowest lying, most flood prone neighborhood in New York City. As ocean levels rise and storms become prevalent, NYC is investing $100 million in flood prevention.

Working in conjunction with Helen Han Creative we realized several minutes of urban-scale 3D animation to showcase both the flooding threat and resiliency plans by engineers to contain flooding. Helen and myself were joined by part-time contributors Matt and Lisa Marie Erickson with Houdini flood simulations by VFX company PFX.
